  O’Neal School employs a full-time registered nurse to be on campus for the wellness of our school community. The nurse has a private office as well as an 独立的 quarantine area.

  With its sprawling 40-acre campus and five buildings, O’Neal School has taken great strides to improve security on campus, 这反过来又使它成为一个更安全的校园. 在过去的几年里, the Board has financed installing cameras in the buildings and implementing a card reader system for certain doors on campus enabling us to have all doors locked on campus all day. 全体教职工和学生, 5年级到12年级, are issued ID badges with a FOB that enables them to get into the buildings and assists with knowing who belongs on campus during an emergency. A full-time director of safety and security walks campus and responds to any concerns. The School has also implemented a safety app that is installed on all 教师 and staff phones. The app is utilized for emergencies and drills such as fire, 医疗紧急情况, 武装入侵者, 可疑的人, or need assistance with just a tap and a slide of their finger on the app. The app also contains written protocols for each situation that can be accessed easily, and is particularly useful for substitute teachers. 如你所见, the safety of our staff and students is something that we here at O’Neal take very seriously.
